Taking a future focussed approach, I love helping educators to embrace new ways of teaching and learning, and embed digital literacies and technologies in schools.

I encourage approaches that empower learners, including project-based learning, STEAM, inquiry and design thinking.

I am a specialist leader of Digital Technologies with a teaching background spanning over 20 years, covering a broad range of year levels and curriculum areas.

As an educationalist coming from a previous specialisation in The Arts, who has nurtured creativity on a daily basis, I facilitate programmes that support teachers to empower students to make, create and innovate, while thinking critically and problem solving.

Passionate about future-focused learning, I enjoy helping educators and education transition from traditional to student-led classrooms.

I love learning through experimentation and play, building teachers’ capability by encouraging them to give things a go and supporting them to overcome barriers.

I also enjoy supporting students and teachers to come together to create, build and model what they are learning. 

With over 30 years creative leadership experience both in New Zealand and overseas, I am passionate about ensuring students are the most successful they can be when they enter the world of work.

I believe that supporting educators to understand and embrace creative possibilities, and engaging with whānau and the wider community plays a vital role in helping them to achieve this.

I believe in using and developing the experience and expertise of the people I work with to build transformative cultures and teams based on relational trust.

Approaching my work with a focus on developing increased learner agency and ownership, I am passionate about coaching for improved performance, and developing leadership capability. 

Experience has shown me that equipping people to be the best they can be leads to growth and success.

As both Ngāi Tahu and a former principal with over 30 years of experience in education, I am passionate about helping leaders to become more culturally responsive.

I enjoy helping leaders and teams develop inclusive learning environments and bringing Te Tiriti o Waitangi to life.

My coaching, leadership learning and extensive facilitation experience embraces a holistic view of educational leadership.

Outcomes of my work, whether it be through appraisals or individual/collective learning development, include leaders demonstrating and appreciating broadened, deeper reflection, and changing their thinking, behaviour and practice related to ākonga outcomes.

Knowing that leadership and leadership learning is all about change, my strengths based approach to leadership or group development enhances the quality of learning experiences, enables leader agency to contribute to performance improvement and creates sustainable, transferable change.

An experienced school principal, cluster leader, coach, mentor and speaker with a passion for enabling our students to thrive through student centered learning, rich tasks, meaningful learning contexts and empowered staff.

I enjoy mentoring leaders at all levels, empowering them through a range of strategies to make positive gains in learning outcomes, learner and staff agency, and wellbeing.

As an experienced researcher, curator and professional historian, I am fascinated by historical facts and their significance in shaping local context.

Excited by sharing knowledge and teaching people how to research their own community histories, I work intentionally and respectfully to challenge assumptions where necessary, and help schools discover their truth.

As an experienced leader, educator, and strengths coach, I am committed to personalising professional learning and development to every individual, both in business and educational settings.

With a proven ability to put theory into practice, I am motivated by learning that has an ongoing impact in terms of outcome, and love working with organisations to help implement big ideas via simple, elegant solutions.
