Yipee!!! This is a long-awaited request from many who have switched from offline spreadsheets to Google Sheets. Finally, Google Sheets supports text rotation. Read on and we’ll show you how to rotate text in Google Sheets.

As a professional learning provider and Google training organisation, when we introduce Sheets to new users, particularly those who are familiar with Microsoft Excel, previously we’d be counselling them as they’ve lost this handy feature – but not any more!

How to rotate text in Google Sheets

To do this simply click into a cell in Sheets (Format > Text rotation). This is especially useful when you need to fit long header names into thin columns, or when you simply want to fit more text on a single screen.
